KISTERS supports you in your role as a metering point operator with an independent MPO system that is quickly available in the KISTERScloud so that you can fulfil your increasing responsibility as a central data supplier for the other market roles and as the only interface to the customers’ smart meters.
Our platform supports MPOs in all tasks related to metering point operation: starting with device management (including gateway administration), through metering data acquisition, processing (plausibility checks and replacement value generation) and provision for all authorised market partners, as well as CLS management and dynamic switching in accordance with §14a and 41a EnwG (German law), among others, to billing preparation, we provide you with comprehensive, process-oriented support.
With the MPO cockpit, metering point operators can handle both the familiar slow and the new fast MaKo in the same system – even on mass data from smart meters. Thanks to our established process support in the area of market communication, the individual process steps can be highly automated and therefore carried out efficiently.

In order to be able to integrate and control the smallest consumers at household level in a grid and market-orientated manner in the future, a functioning CLS management system is a mandatory prerequisite. In order to be able to reduce the consumption of certain new controllable consumption devices, the target model in accordance with Section 14a EnWG (German law) provides for dynamic control on the basis of metered bottlenecks (expected from 1 Jan. 2029): In response to an external specification (by the aEMT) or a limit violation detected within the system, a change in power withdrawal must be initiated on an ad hoc basis and implemented without discrimination.
14a EnWG (German law) will initially only affect certain consumers. With the prospect of dynamic tariffs, the connection of post-EEG systems and many other use cases, there is no way around fast, reliable CLS channel management (CCM).
MSBs need a highly integrated, fully automated IT solution that includes CLS management, gateway administration, master data management and a connection to a peripheral system for flexibility management (e.g. KISTERS FlexManager). This is the only way they can fulfil the required fast response times and process the mass data that will soon be supplied by the intelligent metering systems as the smart meter rollout progresses.

In addition to SaaS management and configuration of SMGWs from within the certified KISTERScloud, we can also take care of your GWA and MPO processes as a BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) project at our own data centre.
