How you can contribute:

  • As a Web Application Developer, you will collaborate with an international team to design and develop JavaScript/TypeScript-based frontend applications.
  • Working closely with Product Owners as well as business and domain experts from the fields of meteorology, hydrology, water quality, and aquatic ecology.
  • Take technical responsibility for the entire lifecycle of the components you develop, from initial implementation through to integration into production systems.
  • Be the driving force behind the development of new applications using state-of-the-art software development methodologies.

Your profile:

  • Degree in computer science, completed apprenticeship as an IT specialist or an equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent knowledge in developing responsive web applications, particularly with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, REST/JSON, and WebComponents. Experience with Vue/React/Angular is a plus.
  • Good understanding of topics such as web servers, web security, caching, proxies, NodeJS, and GIT. Knowledge of tools like VS Code, Confluence, Jira, and languages such as Java or Python is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure, AWS and SQL/noSQL DBMS is advantageous.
  • Your creativity and curiosity help you quickly learn and apply new concepts.
  • Knowledge in meteorology, hydrology, or water management is an advantage.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and German.
